Candied Garam Masala Spiced Pecans
Source: Inspired by the pecans topping this pumpkin pie recipe from the Texas Monthly
Servings: Preparation for 12 oz of pecan halves.
Prep Time: 10 minutesCook Time: 45 minutes
Instructions: Preheat oven to 300F. Bring water and sugar to a boil, kill heat and then whisk in garam masala. Toss pecans with mixture and drain thru a strainer. Spread nuts out on a Silpat or parchment-lined sheet pan and bake for 45 minutes, turning and redistributing the pecans at the 15 and 30 minute marks. At the end of 45 minutes, pull from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the salt. Let cool to room temperature before consuming voraciously.
